The company was founded in 2006 as "SMS Sartore Mariano Service" by Mariano Sartore, a former employee of Galato Oreste, who has over 25 years of experience as a mechanical presses tester.

Since 2008 with the support of his son Filippo the company has expanded and in 2017 became "SMS Sartore Filippo".
